Working with a private developer, Preservation Studios completed the Parts One, Two and Three of Historic Preservation Certification Application (2009-10), along with the National Register nomination (2010). The Kensington Garden Apartment Complex is spread over twenty acres and includes fifty-nine buildings built between 1941 and 1942. Built in the Colonial Revival Style, the buildings originally served as World War II worker housing and was home to pilots, chemists, and engineers all working to fight the Nazi threat.
